Public Meeting: Community Policing

 
The Vancouver Police Board will hold a special public meeting on Thursday, April 17 at the Khalsa Diwan Society Sikh Temple in Vancouver. The event will include a presentation by the South Vancouver Community Policing Centre and Vancouver Police Department Inspector Steve Rai on “Culturally Responsive Policing in the South Asian Community.”
The meeting will take place at the Khalsa Diwan Society Museum Building (next to the Ross Street Temple) at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 17.Board members including Mayor Gregor Robertson, Mary Collins, Vice-Chair, Donna Bridgeman, Wade Grant, Daljit Sidhu, Thomas Tam, and Sheryl Williamson will be in attendance. Police Executive are also scheduled to attend, including Chief Jim Chu, Deputy Chief Constable Doug LePard, Deputy Chief Constable Warren Lemcke, Deputy Chief Constable Adam Palmer, Supt.
