Created by brothers Evan and Carson Christensen, the 1st Vancouver Comic Show took place on Sunday, August 17 at the Croatian Cultural Centre. Close to 100 dealer, gaming and special guest tables were featured at the show, alongside an autograph authenticator from Florida. 
In April 2013, the Christensen brothers came to media attention when they auctioned their 60,000 comic book collection, the largest private comic collection auctioned in Canadian history through Able Auctions. Their passion from comics led to the creation of the Vancouver Comic Show, where comic lovers of all ages gathered.
