Cheap meat in West Vancouver

Black Forest Delicatessen has some fantastic cured meats. They make a lot of appearances at German-inspired events like the Christmas Market and trade shows around Metro Vancouver, and their main processing location is in North Vancouver. They have retail locations in North Vancouver and West Vancouver at Park Royal – South.
I really wanted to come to Black Forest Delicatessen after attending the Fraser Valley Food Show. I tasted their award-winning pâté at the sausage contest and it was very addictive. The store isn’t too big, but you will find a large deli counter and a few shelves of items that go well with their cured meats. The selection includes many varieties of sausage, cold cuts, bratwurst, liver sausages, bacon, ham, turkey, salami, dried cured meats, and pates.
If you can’t decide on what to buy, the staff are very helpful. I bought some spicy salami snacks, liver sausage pâté and savoury crisp crackers. The savoury crisps were a bit expensive, but it they work perfectly with the pâté. The best part is the pricing. I got about 50 grams of the herb liver sausage and it was came in at between $1 or $2. I don’t think I could ever go back to ordering pâté at a restaurant.
