Sidewalk Runway: Wedding Showcase

Depending on who you ask weddings can be viewed with trepidation, reverence or disdain. On Thursday, April 9th I attended a 1920’s style glitz and glamour inspired bridal fashion show that could have warmed the heart of the most cynical skeptic.
Cache Couture Atelier located at 2329 Granville St. kicked off this year’s wedding season showcasing the work of Creative Director and Designer Iliana Rosabal. Her store has been open for two years but the show served to highlight their new rental service. In addition to purchasing: bridal gowns, bride’s maid, mother of the bride, evening gowns and prom dresses, customers now have a rental option. For 22% of the purchase price customers can now consider something truly stunning.
However, if you’re not impressed by the Pronovias Atelier or Elie Saab gowns in the store, Iliana has an experienced team of five ateliers (lead by Irina Shorohov) who can custom design a gown or dress for your wedding, prom or next swanky gala.
