Nu Chinese Bistro: new owners, new menu

Nu Chinese Bistro was formally known as Nu Shanghainese Bistro. The restaurant is quite spacious so it’s perfect for large families to dine here. However the service is quite sparse.
Sautéed Black Fungus 涼拌木耳 was tender, crunchy with a subtle hint of wasabi.
Xiao Long Bao 南翔小籠包 has dumplings with was thin skins and ample soup.
Clay Pot Wonton Chicken Soup 砂鍋竹笙餛飩雞 is a light soup with sweet pea shoots.
BC Dungeness Crab with Fried Shanghai Rice Cake BC肉蟹炒年糕 took us a long time to get into its sweet succulent meat.
Eight Jewel Sweet Rice 八寶飯 had find red bean paste in the rice, which I didn’t particularly like.
Overall, their menu selection is quite diverse, but I didn’t find a lot of items that particularly stood out. Since they are still new, they have some kinks to work out for their dishes and service.
