Albatross Music set to fly into Vancouver

The Albatross Music Festival slated to be Vancouver's first-ever outdoor music festival of its kind, will take place at Hastings Race Course on September 14th and 15th.

The festival which is organised by MUBI Entertainment includes showcases a line-up of international artists from the United States, Canada, Korea, China and Taiwan; some of whom have never performed in Vancouver before.

A wide range of genres will be represented at the festival - from indie rock to hip-hop, and from reggae to folk. Artists include: Edison Chen, Melo, Nair, Queen, A Si, Eric Chou, Hyukoh, Matzka, Una, Delhi2Dublin, Elise Estrada, Wanting, Ma Di, and Far East Movement.

More names will be announced in the coming weeks.

“My vision for Albatross Music Festival is to cater to Vancouverites who have two homes on either side of the Pacific Ocean." Said Sammi Wei, founder & CEO of MUBI Entertainment Management Group.

"Alb [the festival's mascot] represents the king of the seabirds, the albatross, who migrates back and forth between the east and west coast of the Pacific."

For the Albatross Festival, MUBI joined forces with Modern Sky Entertainment, mainland China's leading music entertainment company. Modern Sky produces over fifteen large-scale music festivals worldwide each year in China, NYC, L.A., Seattle, and Helsinki.

With an expected audience of 20,000, tickets will start at $99, with exclusive VIP packages and two-day pass upgrade options available.
