TTI: Hospitality Program
Tue, September 20 2005

Tourism Training Institute enhances its current hospitality program curriculum by adding “Service Leadership and Communications in a Multicultural Workplace“ (SERVLEAD).

The module was developed by the AHLA (American Hotel and Lodging Association) and AHA (American Hospitality Academy) in collaboration with industry professionals and educators from around the world.

TTI‘s Director and Founder, Roxanne Ang, was one of the few invited to review and assist with the manual. The skills learned in SERVLEAD are some of the most important skills that employees should develop in any career path. Service Leadership and Communications is ”a new, comprehensive, competency-based internship program that combines both the leadership training and cultural awareness skills necessary to succeed in today‘s global economy.

SERVLEAD strives to develop hospitality leaders who will learn how to encourage tolerance, celebrate diversity, promote peace through tourism, and then lead by example.

SERVLEAD is a prerequisite to the CHS professional certification examination offered by AHLA for Industry Professionals to achieve the designation of CHS (Certified Hospitality Supervisor).
