In January 2006, Kwantlen University College will open its doors in White Rock, offering first-year university courses to White Rock and South Surrey students in their own community.

Included in the wide variety of courses are high-demand first-year offerings in Kwantlen’s Business, Social Sciences and Humanities programs.

They include business fundamentals and law, criminology, English, creative writing, economics, art history, marketing and psychology. All are credit courses and are transferable to a variety of bachelor’s degrees at Kwantlen as well as to other universities.

The lineup of courses and course descriptions offered in White Rock is now available online at www.kwantlen.ca/whiterock

“Kwantlen has helped many White Rock and South Surrey residents educate themselves and achieve their career goals,” says Kwantlen President Skip Triplett. “We’re thrilled to be able to give them access to university courses in their own community.”

The new location, at 15141 Russell Avenue, White Rock, will provide a convenient location for young students and mature adults to learn. It will also provide an opportunity for Kwantlen to become more involved with those communities — in research and other projects.

Students in White Rock will experience the same small class sizes as students at Kwantlen’s campuses in Langley, Richmond and Surrey. Classes in White Rock will be taught by Kwantlen’s highly respected faculty, who are not only experts in their fields, they’re passionate professionals dedicated to delivering inspiring and relevant instruction to their students.
