How did you meet?
She was visiting some friends in Toronto, and they all decided to go to an art show there. Sameer was one of the artists showcasing his work. He gave her his card and she ended up meeting him for drinks the next night and found out they were both from Vancouver!
 

What do you like the most about her culture?

How graceful the Japanese people are and their creativity for rock gardens.
What do you like the most about his culture?
The big family gettogethers where everyone isn‘t self-conscious about dancing and singing loud.
 
 
 
 
 
What do you dislike or find peculiar about her culture?
She took me to Japan last year and every other person on the street would stare. An old woman even shook her finger at us!
What do you dislike or find peculiar about his culture?
Absoutely nothing. I love everything about his culture, it‘s so different from mine.
How did you parents react to the relationship?
At first they were surprised because they wanted to set me up with a Sri-Lankan girl. Now they‘re totally fine with it.
How did your parents react to the relationship?
It was difficult for the first few months, but once we reached the one year mark my parents actually invited him over dinner—I guess that‘s their way to accepting him.

Beek Tataki (thin slices of raw beef) and Dynamite Rolls

I love Pakoras with tamarind chutney
