BCIT: Fuel cell course
Thu, March 10 2005
Beginning on April 5, BCIT's Centre for Energy Systems Applications (CESA) introduces a series of three part-time studies evening courses on fuel cells and hydrogen technology. Starting from basic concepts, the set of courses presents an in-depth look at the technology. The courses will introduce participants to existing and potential applications of fuel cells, how hydrogen is produced and stored, and the science and engineering principles of fuel cells and hydrogen systems. It is anticipated that within 12 years, 30 per cent more electricity will be required to meet the new demand for energy in B.C. alone. In developing countries, it is expected that electrical demand will increase by 400 per cent over the next 25 years.
