UBC: Skidegate
Thu, July 07 2005

This series of five performances brings together both urban Haida and Haida from the village of Skidegate to perform a new iteration of The Percy Gladstone Memorial Dance. This unique performance piece is the result of intense collaboration between choreographer Karen Jamieson and members of the Haida Nation. Incorporating dance, music, masks, film, and multimedia, this work is presented as part of the Dancing on the Edge Festival in Vancouver.

It will be held at the Museum of Anthropology from July 12 to 16. Free admission. Contact jenwebb@interchange.ubc.ca or call (604) 822-5950 for more.
