Finalists, Guest Speaker and MCs Named for B.C.'s Annual Journalism Awards

In releasing the list of this year's Webster Award finalists for the best in B.C. journalism, the "Jack Webster Foundation":http://www.jackwebster.com/index.shtml today also announced that CBC News' Peter Mansbridge will be guest speaker at the 17th annual awards dinner on Oct. 23.

Mansbridge is Chief Correspondent of CBC News and anchors its nightly news program, The National,, and all CBC News Specials.

CTV's Bill Good and Pamela Martin will co-host the Oct. 23 evening at the Westin Bayshore Resort and Marina where 13 awards will be presented to B.C.'s best print and broadcast journalists. Martin and Good, who also hosts a morning talk show on CKNW AM 980, are veterans of the B.C. broadcasting industry.
