What is the best part of your job?
Two main things. For one thing, the people I work with are great – they’re smart, work hard and make the workplace fun. The work is also interesting, as both the work environment and the market is pretty dynamic. So to deal with those changes on a constant basis is pretty interesting.
Challenges (the most difficult incident you have dealt in your work):
My job is constant learning and problem solving. Given my role of providing reports to various individuals, trying to provide exactly what they want can be a challenge. At the same time, trying to improve processes and increase efficiencies is also challenging, especially when specific time constraints are considered.
Differences (how is it different from other jobs that you previously had/ or school?):
There’s a lot more responsibility, and the pace of work is much quicker. I like that because it means I’m always thinking, and always contributing to both my team and the organization.
My Education:
When did you complete your CMA program? Summer of 2007
Other Degree(s):
School: Graduated from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics. I also participated in the Co-operative Education Program – a big bonus because it gave me relevant work experience prior to graduating.
Lifestyle: I like to keep busy
Favorite recreational activity: Playing Basketball and bowling are the best.
Upcoming Vacation plans: I’ll be in the Philippines for a month visiting family – should be great fun and a great break from the weather here!
My future:
In five years, I see myself (both professionally and personally):
Professionally – Having an increased role within the company. More experience will allow the possibility of greater responsibilities.
