Sisters Deepa, Kam, and Sarbjit Dhillon, aka 'the chick pea chicks', spent the day serving 'sholay, a favourite vegetarian dish, to parade-goers.
Gary Dhillon said that “Vaisakhi is a time for the younger generation to see our culture. We should work hard not to forget our heritage.”
Avtar Dhillon, the founder and owner of Main Video – a longtime anchor in Panjabi Market for the past 20 years – spent the day wishing friends and family a Happy Vaisakhi.
The volunteer team from Gogoapna.com, Rupi Tatla, Sandeep Bandesha, and Pavan Sivia wished everyone the best for the year ahead.
Amrit Toor and Aman Nijjer told The South Asian Post how much they loved each other like sisters, and that they had been best friends since elementary school. “And by the way,” they added, “Happy Vaisakhi!”
