Following the success of the First Taiwanese Film Festival (TWFF) last year, the second festival will be held in Vancouver from June 20 to 22 at the Vancouver International Film Centre.

This year, the theme of the festival is The Footprints of Youth, featuring six Taiwanese films: My Football Summer, The Most Distant Course, Island Etude, Shonenko, Keeping Watch and Love’s Lone Flower, each with international film festival awards or nominations.

The films illustrate six different paths of life tied together by the theme of youth and growth.

Directors Li-chou Yang and Huai-en Chen said it is hoped that the festival films will let people reflect on their youth and wonder, ‘What have I done when I was 15? What was I like?’

They also hope the films will inspire younger generations who have the potential to achieve great things.

The Festival will have 10 screenings at the Vancouver International Film Centre (1181 Seymour St., at Davie, Vancouver).
