Ganguly earns top honours

Sourav-GangulyFormer India captain Sourav Ganguly has been adjudged the Castrol Asian Cricketer of the Year for his memorable comeback on the national team last year.

Sourav made a brilliant comeback during the Test series in South Africa and then capped the year with his maiden double century, 239, against Pakistan at Bangalore in December. He was also named the Asian Batsman of the Year at the inaugural Castrol Asian Cricket Awards held Friday.

India’s Yuvraj Singh was given a special award for hitting six sixes in an over against England in the Twenty20 World Championships in South Africa last year.
