The PNT Idol is a monthly singing contest that aims to expose, train and develop aspiring singers in preparation for bigger singing contests like the Canadian or Philippine Idol.

The brains behind this contest are Jojo Alpuerto and Nhemy Cepeda.

After monthly contests, the grand finals will be held on Sept. 5, at 7 p.m., at the Glad Tidings Church Auditorium, 3456 Fraser St., Vancouver.

PNT Singing IDOL Pinoy is hosted by Jojo and Jerry (Pork and Beans) and the contest is being judged by Wyngard Tracy, talent Manager and judge of Pinoy Idol.

Special guests for the evening will be JJ Cepeda, Angela Gerardo and Ikah.

The contest is divided into three categories: kids, teens and adults. First place prize in the kids’ category includes round trip airfare to Disneyland, two Disneyland tickets and $300 for expenses.

Teen category prizes include a round trip ticket to The Philippines, $300 in spending money and a guaranteed spot for GMA7 Pinoy Idol auditions 2009 and ABS-CBN Dream.

The adult category winner will receive one round trip airfare to The Philippines, $300 in spending money and a guaranteed spot for GMA7 Pinoy Idol audition 2009 and ABS-CBN Dream Academy audition.
