Khan has new persona in thriller Kidnap
Thu, October 09 2008
After the immense success of Singh is Kinng, Studio 18 is presenting Sanjay Gadhvi’s Kidnap to Vancouver audiences. Kidnap has been getting rave reviews and it promises to become another hit for Studio 18. The movie’s star Imran Khan – who is the nephew of Aamir Khan – has already gained a reputable start from his debut film Jaane tu ya Jaane na. The film, a suspenseful, psychological thriller, presents the newly buff Imran Khan in a different role from his debut sweet boy-next-door character. The movie begins with conflicts in different relationships and their complexities, and the fuel for the story is the revenge harboured in the heart of a 14-yar-old boy. The story juxtaposes a man of great power, authority and ego against a young man fuelled by hatred. For the fans of Aamir Khan, Imran Khan will appear reminiscent of his perfectionist uncle. Khan’s acting in Kidnap proves yet again the calibre and class of his talent. Fans of Khan are in for a delight. Kamal Sharma of Kamal’s Video Palace said: “The movie is expected to be a box office hit, with reviews already praising Imran Khan. “The people of Vancouver will surely love this and I urge all to check the movie out in cinemas.” The movie is now playing at Strawberry Hill Cinema and Raja Cinemas.
