HOW DID YOU MEET?
We went to the same school and are on the same athletic team. Our team constantly does club fundraisers and we ended up hooking up at one of them, went on a date two days later, and have been together ever since.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE THE MOST ABOUT HER/HIS CULTURE?
Angelus: I don’t know her culture. I think it’s because it’s been so “Canadianized” that there’s nothing distinctively German about her German-Canadian culture.
Krista: It has more history and much more rich background. Also it seems that they are more adventurous when it comes to food, trying new things and even accepting different ideas or opinions.
WHAT DO YOU DISLIKE OR FIND PECULIAR ABOUT HER/HIS CULTURE?
Angelus: Nothing at all. Not yet anyway…each and every day I spend with her family is a very interesting and educational experience. I really like the German influence on an Asian culture.
Krista: I love hearing and learning about old proverbs, yet, I think it is odd that even those who speak Mandarin have a hard time explaining them or knowing what they are supposed to mean.
HOW DID YOUR PARENTS REACT ABOUT THE RELATIONSHIP?
Angelus: They were overjoyed. Plus, I’m getting close to 30 so maybe they were getting worried.
Krista: They were surprised to find out that he was Asian but when they met him they realized how well we worked together and were delighted- especially since it 
gives me a new perspective on many things.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE FOOD OR DISH FROM HER/HIS CULTURE?
Angelus: German goulash and turkey!!
Krista: Egg rolls and duck
WHAT WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOURSELF AS?
Angelus: Funny, laid back, lazy, goal oriented. Does that work?
Krista: Ambitious, prudent, and intelligent
