Buddhist temple in Richmond

You don’t have to fly to Hong Kong to experience the sensory extravaganza of an Asian culture.

Richmond is home to the second largest Asian community in North America and the Golden Village in Richmond is an Asian mecca of markets, shops, people and culture. Clustered together within a four block radius between No. 3 Road to Garden City Road and Alderbridge Way to Sea Island Way, the Golden Village offers more than 300 shops and services including jewellery stores, art galleries and the latest designer fashions from Hong Kong, Tokyo and Taipei.

For the adventurous visitor, shopping can include a face reading, a foot massage, a tea ceremony or a visit to one of the food courts to sample a variety of delicacies.

Richmond is an island community that sits at the mouth of the Fraser River. As gateway to the Vancouver Coast and Mountains, and home to the Vancouver International Airport, Richmond’s proximity to international travel and to Vancouver make it an ideal location for a getaway or meeting.

The historic fishing village of Steveston, and the Golden Village are key tourism districts attracting visitors from around the world. Richmond has a multi-ethnic community of 180,000 residents.
