FIC offers another path to university
Mon, August 21 2006
High school is finished. You have received your diploma. Perhaps your English is not as strong as it needs to be. So, umm, now what.?? Fraser International College (FIC) has the solution to your problem. Fraser International College, part of the IBT Education Group, a worldwide leader in university pathway programs, has partnered with Simon Fraser University (SFU). The partnership has led to the creation of a University Preparation Program and "University Transfer Programs" for three degree areas: Business Administration, Computing Science, and Social Sciences. The programs are ideal for international students or non-resident Canadian citizens.. The idea is that by spending prep time at FIC, you will be able to secure a better return from your tuition and time investment when you get into SFU. You will know what is expected of you in university and you will have a better idea of what courses are right for you, thereby not wasting money on unnecessary courses. The courses in FIC’s University Transfer Programs Stage II are equivalent to the first year of the SFU degree and are quality assured by SFU. Upon successful completion of the FIC programs, and having met the SFU specified Grade Point Average (GPA), you will be able to transfer to SFU and apply for the university's Bachelor degree programs. The FIC programs and approach to teaching ensure that students have the best preparation for university studies. FIC students are treated like university students. In choosing a FIC program, you will be following thousands of other successful students who have achieved their ambitions by joining SFU - recognized year after year as one of the leading universities in Canada.
