Careers in Fine Arts & Design: Ria Kawaguchi
Wed, December 20 2006
Age:30 I guess one of the things that got me where I am now is seeing design in my day-to-day environment. I studied fine arts in university previously, but I was attracted to graphic design because I wanted to create something that had a more tangible purpose. The most challenging part of my job is dealing with clients. Balancing my own aesthetics with their demands is hard work. I think it is important to keep your integrity, but you also need the ability to compromise and see things from another person’s perspective. It’s different from other jobs I had before, just because it places you in a creative and challenging environment. I’m always learning something new every day and inspired by the people around me. EDUCATION: Degree(s): Bachelor of Arts - Major in Studio Art Diploma and Design Essentials LIFESTYLE: Favourite activity: I love being outdoors and exploring wild and remote places.
