Editorial: Canadian Forces
Wow you nailed it just right. I have been observing this same thing (lack of minorities I the Canadian Armed Forces) for years. Now I understand and appreciate your concern to some extent but honestly, it is silly thing to ask a question for whose answer is so clear.
Immigrants are inherently self-interested irrespective of the region or place they come from. Why do you expect someone who goes through all the hassles to come here and enjoy the cosy lifestyles of this land to sacrifice himself even before he has enjoyed it?
How do you expect patriotism from these people for a new land who gladly left their native country for better life? People immigrate to Canada, and the US – not to India, Sri Lanka, Mexico, Afghanistan etc – to improve their lives better, not to do courageous armed service.

Lavish Sikh Weddings
This is a very wise step to ban lavish Sikh weddings. I hope every one follow the code of conduct of Delhi Sikh community.

I appreciate the move of the DSGPC. Simple living and high thinking is the motto our Sikh gurus have set for us. We should boycott anyone who does not respect this.

Maid in Canada struggle
Just because maids are being mistreated by their countries of origin doesn’t justify that they should be treated the same by their new host countries. These caregivers are not asking anything more than what is their right under your laws and to avail the privilege of becoming permanent residents when the opportunity presents itself. In short, they wish to fully partake and contribute to Canada’s economy.
