CHOW’S MAGIC STRIKE GOLD

Youngest Pacific Coast Magic Champions Champs Again

Nicholas Chow, 6, who at only 5 years old last year, was the youngest ever to win in the 73 year history of the Pacific Coast Association of Magicians (PCAM) Magic competitions, again brings back home the Gold Medal in the 2006 competition held this year in Victoria, BC, August 9th to 13, 2006.

Not to be outdone, brother Jack Chow, 9, also achieved Gold in the highly sought after Stage Magic category.  With this win, Jack successfully defends his title and is now a four time Pacific Coast Champion.  The PCAM encompasses magicians from the entire Pacific Rim, as far away as Japan, Hawaii, Southern California and Arizona.

Both brothers performed very unique and creatively themed magical acts, demonstrating their skill, innovation and natural entertainment ability to wow the panel of professional judges and magician audience to capture the top awards.

It helps to have a dad who is an international magic champion.  With over two dozen magic awards under his belt, Rod Chow, was just awarded the coveted 1st Place title in the Society of American Magicians (S.A.M.) International Contest of Close-Up Magic, held in July, 2006 in Louisville, Kentucky, USA.  S.A.M. is the oldest and most prestigious magical society in the world, with over 250 Assemblies world-wide in over 50 countries.

Chow says:  “We are extremely proud of our two sons who at their young ages are already well known and respected in the magic community, and are well on their way to become the next generation of magic superstars. With their wins, this makes for three major magic championships for our family within the last month and an amazing one dozen magic awards within the last year.”

The Chow family can be found practicing their magic in their family owned Skinniest Building in the World located in Vancouver Chinatown.  Indeed an unusual place for an unusual craft.
