Career Zone: Employment





The Career Zone is a drop-in employment centre for job seekers and career changers between the ages of 15 and 30. The centre offers:



  • Employment counselling

  • Career exploration

  • A resource library

  • Computers with internet access and useful links

  • Free workshops on a variety of job search topics

  • Case Management Services

  • Skills Upgrading Funding (SDEB)

  • Information on Job Fairs

  • Knowledgeable Staff: It‘s the people who make the difference. Whether you are looking for a job, trying to find information on school programs, have questions about the computers, or are just trying to find one of our fabulous books, they will do our best to give you as much information as you need to make informed decisions.

  • Technology: We have the goods. Computers for typing resumes, researching the web or checking your e-mail as well as phones and fax machines.

  • Library: No Dewey decimal system here. What you will find are tonnes of books and magazines filled with career, business and educational information. Have a seat in our lounge, or quiet reading area and research a career, learn about effective job search, or check out course information at the local colleges and universities. Let‘s not forget about the daily papers.

  • Workshops: These information sessions will provide you with everything you need to know surrounding career decision-making and job search.

Our experienced case managers offer assistance with Return to Work Action Plans and provide one to one employment counselling for participants wanting individual support with their job search and career planning.

Self-employment assistance programs

Specialized community agencies
