2006 BMW X3 Compact Luxury SUV

It’s just the ticket for urbanites who hanker after a premium SUV, but don’t have the parking space to keep one and can’t justify a huge hulking beast. Interior wise, comfortable seats and plenty of storage make up for the smaller cabin. The rear seats split 60/40 and 33 cubic feet of cargo space is available. Lower the seats and this increases to 71 cubic feet.

On the road, the X3 feels more like a BMW 3 series sedan with a higher seating position. Acceleration is a tad slower given the weight, but it’s an eerily odd sensation of déjà vu. On rough trails and snowy climbs up to the winter ski slopes, the Xdrive should take care of adverse road conditions very well. If you really, really want it, be prepared to shell out. It’s not cheap. The BMW X3 is priced from $49,900.
