Restaurant Review: Panidor Bakery

Panidor Bakery is owned and operated by the same owners of La Baguette et L’Echalote (from Granville Island). It’s good news to know they’re back in business.

I ordered their Sandwich and Soup/Salad combo. I ordered their Chicken Sandwich which is made with sous vide chicken, mustard, tomato, lettuce and your choice of bread and sauce. I chose their multigrain and roasted tomato spread. The chicken was nice and tender while the roasted tomato spread gave it a slightly sweet taste. The mustard gave it some kick. I really enjoyed my sandwich. The bread was toasted on a panini grill and is crisp but still chewy. I would have to say this is my favourite lunch sandwich in the city – great flavour and the bread is delicious.

The combo comes with either salad or soup, so I went with soup. The day I went they had Spinach Veloute. The soup was nice and hearty without being too heavy, it’s nicely seasoned and didn’t require any extra salt or pepper to make it tasty!

I definitely want to come back and try some of their pastries along with some of their bread as well.
