Chewie’s Biscuit Co. specializes in freshly baked buttermilk biscuits. For people with food allergies or preferences, they also have vegan and potato buns along with veggie gravy to substitute their sausage gravy. You can also order other items including French toast style biscuits, bennies, and sides including onion rings, dirty fries, and Portobello mushroom fries.

The Moose is fried chicken breast, bacon, egg, cheddar cheese, and sausage gravy served in a biscuit. The biscuit is crispy on the outside with soft, buttery goodness on the inside. With the combination of egg, cheese, bacon, and chicken, it is very filling.

The chicken is tender and breaded lightly so it’s still crunchy but not overly done. I didn’t feel like I was too stuffed afterward.

I wish I had a bit more gravy to dip some of my biscuits in.

Fruity French Toast Is a biscuit served French toast style with some whipped cream and strawberry compote. The biscuit was still crispy and the buttery taste really complemented the sweetness of the dish. I didn’t find the dish too sweet but very enjoyable. The breading is great on the onion rings, not too thick and still quite crispy and served hot.

The seasoning gives it a nice little kick without being too overwhelming. These onion rings aren’t served with sauce, but the flavouring doesn’t need sauce anyway.

I’d definitely love to come back and try different items on their menu!
