Pretty Beast wins Public Market of the Fringe Award

Due to its popularity, Pretty Beast will receive one last performance Sept. 20 at the Public Market Pick of the Fringe series. It will take place at Performance Works.

The play is based on life experiences of comedian Kazu Kasano, who grew up in Japan with a schizophrenic mother and alcoholic father.  The journey is raw and dark as it is inspiring and funny. Kazu moves us as a child in a playground through a silly, yet dark comedy on serious topics. The comedian reminds us that your past doesn’t define you, but rather defines you.

PRETTY BEAST premiered, sold-out, and won Best of the Fest at Crazy Woke Asians Solo Performance Festival in Los Angeles in 2019. For more info about Kazu Kusano, visit kazukusano.com.
